Papageno Music Therapy is Papageno’s starting point and to date around 8,000 children with autism have benefited from this scientifically proven effective approach.
Papageno Music Therapy is targeted at children and young people with ASS throughout the Netherlands. The Papageno music therapists provide music therapy at home, at school, in healthcare institutions and treatment centers for children and young people with ASS. They get to work in a playful and accessible way. They help children with ASS to express their feelings, communicate better and deal with changes more easily. The music therapist uses many different types of instruments, for example a djembe, cajon, keyboard, guitar, xylophone and so on. The voice is also used a lot, for singing but also to make sounds.
